Help me choose the new cover

It’s getting closer and closer to publication day and there are just a few tweaks left to make – and one big decision left to take: which cover should I choose? In Below Zero, Ingrid is sent on a secret and dangerous assignment to Stockholm, but when a series of terrorist incidents put the city on lockdown, her mission is thrown into chaos. Which of these two designs most makes you want to pick up the new book? VOTE HERE and let me know. The new novel is almost here!

I am – finally!!! – thrilled to be able to tell you that the new Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thriller is nearly ready for publication. It’s currently with a team of advance readers for road testing, and it’ll shortly be sent off to the proof reader once the final tweaks have been incorporated. Publication won’t be far behind. The new novel – the sixth in the series – is called Below Zero and is set in Stockholm in December 2014. Fans will remember that at the end of Book 5, Shoot First, Ingrid ends up owing Nick Angelis a favour, and he calls it in at the beginning of Below Zero. He sends her on a top secret – and highly illegal – mission to Sweden, but the country becomes the victim of a series of terrorist incidents and the only way Ingrid can carry complete her mission is by breaking the law… again, and again, and again. Unlike previous books where Ingrid has been investigating crimes, in Below Zero she’s the one being hunted. It’s been fun to put her in the position of second guessing cops rather than perps, and it’s also been interesting to take away her supporting cast. Not having Angela Tate, or McKittrick or Jennifer around means Ingrid has to rely on her instincts much more. In a sense, Below Zero gives us a purer Ingrid. When Eva started writing the Ingrid Skyberg books in 2013, she deliberately gave her heroine a Swedish heritage as a nod to the Scandi crime she enjoyed reading so much. She always intended to set a novel in Sweden, and it’s been a...

Win an audiobook of Fresh Doubt!

http://evahudson.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Chapter01.mp3   The audiobook of Fresh Doubt retails for $19.95 on Audible.com but you can win a copy for FREE just by helping me out. When I say ‘just’, I’m actually going to ask you to do a bit of work to be entered into the giveaway: I want you to suggest a keyword I can use to help promote the Ingrid Skyberg series. The good news? Well, there are no wrong answers and you stand a good chance of winning a really valuable prize in exchange for a few minutes thought. What’s a keyword, you ask? Keywords are words authors put in the metadata of their books to help new readers discover them. We try and guess what readers are typing into Amazon and Google and add those search terms to our metadata. I want to take the guess work out of it because I want you to tell me what you’d type into a search field if you were hoping to find a book like an Ingrid Skyberg thriller. Here are some examples of keywords… strong female protagonist thrillers with a twist best new thrillers thrillers set in London … you get the idea. Obviously I don’t want you to tell me any of those, instead I hope to learn  the words you actually type into the search bar on Amazon when you’re looking for a new book or author to read. Like I say, there are no wrong answers. So get thinking, then get entering! And don’t forget to tell me whether you use Audible.co.uk or Audible.com (choose this option if you don’t live in the UK). Just fill in your details below. Good luck!...

Shoot First — the new crime thriller from Eva Hudson

I’m thrilled to announce that Shoot First the new Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thriller is now on sale from… Amazon • Apple • Barnes & Noble • Kobo • Google …and the early reviews have been great (currently a 4.7* rating from 85 reviews on Amazon.com).   “Another breathtaking adventure with Agent Skyberg.” “Starts off quick like a race car and grabs you then you can’t let go.” “If you have read the previous books you’ll LOVE this one. If you haven’t read the others then you NEED to!” “I couldn’t put it down. Agent Ingrid Skyberg kicks ass!” “A slick, fast paced page turner. I read until the wee hours of the morning – not wanting to put this book down.”   I’ve been particularly relieved by the reviews from readers who couldn’t tell where Eva had left things and I had taken over. I tried really hard to make it feel like an authentic Ingrid Skyberg adventure, and I’m so pleased Eva’s wonderful fans have responded so enthusiastically. A few reviewers have lamented that Shoot First will be the last Ingrid Skyberg book, but it absolutely won’t be. Eva left me with several notebooks with plots and character arcs for future adventures: Book 6 will definitely be coming out in 2016! If you’re looking for a new crime thriller to end 2015 with, I hope you’ll download a copy of Shoot First: An Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thriller soon. Thanks for an incredible launch! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ RETURN TO THE BLOG...
