joe bevan in Scott and Bailey

Just when I thought Scott & Bailey couldn’t surprise me, last night’s episode threw up some unexpected moments. Here are a just a handful:

1. Sean (Maguire) brimming with tears over the disintegration of his marriage (I filled up too)

2. Rachel Bailey being nice to her mum (however reluctantly)

3. Sharon Bailey settling for a meagre 30 quid from Pete for her silence (and we know that one’s going to come back and bite him on the arse)

4. George Costigan (Joe Bevan) acting his socks off – it’s far and away the best performance I’ve ever seen him give (and I remember all the way back to Connie with Stephanie Beacham!)

5. Assistant Chief Constable Karen Zalinsky’s wooden acting (more noticeable given everyone else is outstanding)

6. Taisie Scott’s uncanny impersonation of Rachel Bailey smoking a fag (how long before she’s getting through 2 packs a day?)

7. Actually feeling sorry for Pete (but he did bring it on himself mind)

Anything raise an eyebrow for you? Leave a comment and we’ll compare notes.
