After writing the Judging a book by its cover post, I thought I should really roll up my sleeves and design a British cover for The Loyal Servant, keeping the original for the US market. I’m not sure that Amazon Kindle publishing wholly approves of two versions of the same book being uploaded (the US version features American spelling – think ‘aluminum’) as when I search for The Loyal Servant on amazon.com, only the British version pings back at me. Heigh ho.
I’m really pleased with both covers, hopefully the famous Westminster landmark won’t put off American readers too much – at least its recognisable. Apparently UK crime writers don’t do tremendously well across the Atlantic. But am I letting that put me off? Hell no! Onwards and upwards…
