Like Cagney and Lacey, only Lt Samuels is a woman too.

Congratulations to Cath Staincliffe for getting the gig to write the prequel to the first Scott and Bailey TV series. What a treat!

With a new series commissioned by ITV and a whole new story being written (proving the enduring appeal of female cop dramas) maybe Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly can be persuaded to dust off their badges and do another C&L TV movie. Now wouldn’t that be something to get excited about with Claire Balding?

Has Barney Rosenzweig ever considered the novelisation of Cagney and Lacey? I should probably finish his book and find out.Cagney and Lacey and Me by Barney Rosenzweig
