Well thank goodness for that. The thriller heat came and went with no major incidents. As I remembered very little from the actual day, I couldn’t be sure whether or not I’d made a complete arse of myself on national telly. Big arse maybe, but TV puts on ten pounds – it’s an established fact.
It’s nice being able to exhale.
Watching from behind a cushion, the thing that struck me most strongly is how fabulous Penny Smith is. And she’s EVEN lovelier in the flesh. Hoorah for Penny. And big thanks to Cathy and Mark for their kind words and all those at the production company, especially Jo the make-up woman and Chris the assistant producer. Mr Titchmarsh wasn’t half bad either.
Good luck to the other 15 finalists and enormous round of applause to everyone involved.
